THE GOD OF MEEKNESS
Meek – Mild of temper, soft, gentle, not easily provoked or irritated, yielding, given to forbearance under injuries, closely linked with humility
Our Lord Jesus is Meek:

2 Corinthian 10:1a Paul, beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ
Meekness is a part of our reborn Spirit:

Ephesians 4:1-3 Walk worthy of the vocation (calling, occupation, employment, trade) wherewith ye are called, with all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering,
Colossians 3:12-15 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, …meekness, longsuffering;
Titus 3:2 …to be no brawlers, but gentle, showing all meekness unto all men.
The meek receive from God:

Matthew 5:5-9 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
James 1:21 Receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls
Meekness ministers to people:

1 Timothy 6:11,12 O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. Fight the good fight of faith,
1 Peter 3:1-4 Behold your chaste conversation (submissive, pure, genuine, uncorrupted) … Let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
